To establish an innovative mechanism for the secondary treatment of hospital wastewaters in Ioannina and Vlore hospitals with the use of advanced oxidation processes.
Main outputs:
a) A consistent monitoring mechanism of pharmaceutical compounds in the effluents of wastewater treatment plants.
b) An inclusive long term pilot study on the efficiency, both technical and financial, of the proposed mechanism
c) Creation of a permanent mechanism in order to support the sustainability of the project results.
- Project – Development and application of a system based on advanced oxidation processes for the treatment of hospital wastewaters in order to remove pharmaceutical compounds with high persistence in aquatic environment
- Photocatalytic Treatment of Pharmaceuticals in Real Hospital Wastewaters for Effluent Quality Amelioration
