Objectives:

To increase knowledge among Baltic Sea states about good practices concerning the use and management of medicinal products by establishing a network with the focus on sustainable development.


Target audience:
Environmental experts, National/Local decision and policy makers, Scientists, and Waste/water treatment providers

Area of interest:
Occurrence of pharmaceuticals in the environment, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Pharmaceutical waste & waste management, Risks to ecosystems, Risks to human health, Unused/expired pharmaceutical disposal practices, Wastewater, and Water treatment technologies

Activities:

1) Exchange of good practices and experience between stakeholders with knowledge of medical products, health and environmental aspects within the region, 2) Establishment of focal points in all Baltic Sea region member states in order to increase knowledge and to provide a platform for further discussions towards the goal of sustainable development.
